Usually I work to a written brief. I prefer it that way so that we both know what’s expected of each other. It also means you’ll get a better result. If you don’t have a brief format, you can use mine. You’ll find the briefing process also helps to clarify your own thoughts. If you are currently working with designers and/or art directors, I can too. I’m pretty easy going like that. If you need these resources and don’t have them, I’ll happily recommend people I’ve worked with. Most clients prefer me to provide an estimate prior to commencing work. My estimates are based on the hours needed to complete the job or, for bigger jobs, I have a day rate. It’s all very straightforward so even if you only have a simple sales letter that needs looking at, I can probably take it on.
